Blends, balance and a region moving with the times.

Bordeaux sits around the Gironde estuary and its two rivers, the Garonne and Dordogne, where centuries of growers have learned to match grape, soil and climate.

The region’s signature is blending. Merlot brings softness and generosity, Cabernet Sauvignon adds structure and freshness, Cabernet Franc brings perfume, while Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon shape the whites. Perfect blending is one of the defining traits of Bordeaux wines.

 

For generations, Bordeaux has been seen as classic and traditional.

Floral & Fruity Whites

Citrusy, aromatic and refreshing, with notes of lemon, pear, apple and white flowers. This is the bright, lifted side of Bordeaux.

Best for: seafood, sushi, salads, goat’s cheese and aperitifs.

Crémant Rosé

Lively, fruit-driven and full of charm, with crunchy red fruit like redcurrant, strawberry and raspberry.

Light & Fruity Reds

Juicy, fresh and easygoing — the kind of Bordeaux red that does not need a special occasion. Expect bright fruit, softer texture and plenty of charm.

Best for: sharing plates, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, tomato-based dishes and relaxed dinners.


The easygoing red.

Elegant & Complex Reds

Deeper, more structured and built for slower moments. Often Cabernet-influenced or Left Bank in feel, with darker fruit, freshness, grip and length.

Best for: roast meats, rich sauces, mushroom dishes, game and special occasions.


The serious, slow-evening red.

Round & Complex Whites

Textured, layered dry whites with more depth — think ripe fruit, floral notes, gentle spice and sometimes a hint of honey, nuts or toast. 

Best for: grilled fish, roast chicken, risotto, creamy sauces and richer vegetable dishes.
 

The fuller, food-loving white.

Fresh & Fruity Rosé

Pale, vibrant and refreshing, with strawberry, redcurrant and pink grapefruit notes. This is the bright, easygoing side of Bordeaux rosé.

Best for: salads, grilled fish, marinated vegetables, barbecue, tapas, pizza, charcuterie and spiced dishes.

 

The crisp, sunny rosé.

Fresh & Generous Reds

Rounder and fruitier, but still fresh and food-friendly. This is often where Merlot-led Bordeaux shines — especially from Right Bank or Côtes styles.

Best for: mushrooms, roast vegetables, pasta, burgers, lamb and midweek comfort food.

 

The plush, generous red.

Sweet & Fruity

Golden, honeyed and lifted, with plenty of aromatic fruit and gentle sweetness. A lovely introduction to Bordeaux’s sweeter side.

Best for: fruit desserts, soft cheeses, pâté, spiced dishes or a slow final glass.


The lighter golden treat.

Crémant Blanc

Fine, fresh and quietly elegant — Bordeaux bubbles with citrus, acacia blossom, hazelnut and a gentle toasted note.

Best for: aperitifs, tapas, canapés, seafood, oysters, poultry, white meats and red-fruit desserts.
 

The crisp, versatile sparkle.

Fresh & Fleshy Clairet

The halfway house between rosé and light red — deeper in colour, fuller in body and still beautifully fresh. Expect raspberry, blackcurrant, strawberry and rose, with soft tannins and a little more presence.

Best for: picnics, grilled dishes, shellfish, lightly spiced food, world cuisines and red-fruit desserts.


The juicier, more food-friendly pink.

Balanced & Silky Reds

Smooth, polished and quietly confident, with ripe fruit, supple tannins and classic Bordeaux charm. These can sit beautifully between Left Bank structure and Right Bank softness.

Best for: roast chicken, steak, lamb, hard cheeses and dinner parties.

The classic dinner-table red.

Sweet & Complex

Richer, deeper and more layered — Bordeaux’s most indulgent sweet style. Think honey, candied fruit, spice and a long, luxurious finish.

Best for: blue cheese, tarte tatin, pâté-style pairings, spiced desserts and special moments.
