One Bottle One Tree Pledge

Trees

How do we talk about this bit without being too preachy?  Hmmm...let's have a go

The world is slowly waking up to the climate crisis, and we think every person and business can do their bit.  So we pledge to not only stock the best wines, use the best delivery options, and the most recyclable and compostable packaging, but in addition we promise to plant one tree for every bottle of wine we supply for our wine events or sell through our online shop.

Tree Planting Scheme

So apparently trees and hedgerows can actually help us reverse the effects of climate change?  Who knew?

What's more, we know we need an extra 2 billion hectares of forest to make it all work.

Yeah..quite a lot, but you can only eat an elephant one bit at a time.  So for EVERY BOTTLE OF WINE we sell we'll donate to Ripple Africa's scheme to plant another tree.

Our Packaging Promise

Our aim is that the packaging we send the wines to you in is 100% recyclable or compostable.

We are proud to use PulpSafe from WBC in London, which is 100% British made and fully biodegradable.  It's also as safe as any packaging on the market, making sure the wines get to you in pristine condition.

But we don't stop there.  The boxes we send, all the way to the documents wallets, are 100% biodegradable.

Cork Recycling

Recorked UK are the UK's leading cork recycling not-for-profit organisation.  They collect used natural corks from across the UK and either donate them to schools and charities for arts and crafts, or sell them on as second hand corks and donate those profits to charities such as Frank Water, Wild Oxfordshire, and When You Wish Upon a Star.

Each Feel Good Grapes order contains a stamped, addressed envelope for you to send your corks into this brilliant organisation!

Ripple Africa

Ripple Africa has been going since 2003, when it was founded by Liz and Geoff Furber.

Now concentrating on environmental and education projects in Malawi, the development of their fuel efficient cookstove, called Changu Changu Moto (meaning 'fast fast fire'), and tree planting schemes have led to Ripple being at the forefront of the climate change battle in Africa, that our clients can help simply by drinking some lovely wine!
