The family is best known for its Rieslings, but Funkelwürtz shows a very different side of the estate. It's a gently sparkling, de-alcoholised wine that's fresh, bright and genuinely enjoyable in its own right.

The Selbach family has been making wine in the Mosel for around 400 years. Based in Zeltingen, the family is particularly known for Riesling from the steep slate vineyards of the Mosel.
Their approach is centred on allowing the character of the fruit and vineyard to come through, with much of the vineyard work carried out by hand and a strong focus on careful, gentle winemaking.
Funkelwürtz shows another side of the Selbach family: a wine-style, gently sparkling drink designed for occasions when alcohol isn't wanted.
