Cillar de Silos Crianza 2022 is a classic Ribera del Duero Tempranillo crafted from estate vineyards in the village of Quintana del Pidio.

 

Cillar de Silos is a respected family-run winery founded by the Aragón family in the 1990s. The estate focuses on expressing the character of Ribera del Duero through carefully managed vineyards and traditional winemaking techniques.

 

Combining ripe black fruit, subtle oak spice and firm yet polished tannins, the wine reflects both the power and elegance of this celebrated Spanish region. Aged in French oak to add structure and depth, it delivers richness balanced by freshness.

    Deep and expressive, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry and plum, layered with liquorice, cocoa and gentle oak spice. The palate is structured and balanced, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long, savoury finish.

  • ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

    The grapes come from vineyards around Quintana del Pidio, where high-altitude conditions and varied soils help preserve freshness while allowing Tempranillo to reach full ripeness. Careful vineyard management ensures balanced fruit and expressive wines.

    The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks before ageing in French oak barrels for approximately 12 months, a hallmark of the Crianza style. This maturation adds complexity and structure while maintaining the purity of the fruit.
